A situation in which someone might find themselves feeling rejected is when trying to make friends in school. This can be a very challenging task. They might feel as though they cannot find the right people, or that they cannot be themselves in front of certain people. For example, let's say that a shy young girl tranfers to a new school and knows absolutely no one there. She might try to introduce herself to others but they may reject her because she is the new kid. They might not find her "cool" enough to be seen with , simply because she has no friends . These actions could make the girl feel hopeless . She may give up trying to fit in for fear of being rejected by everyone. It would be quite sad , actually. She would probably end up sticking to herself and trying to get by with as little social contact as possible .

Supernatural
I believe that the most important aspect of the novel ,Frankenstein, is the supernatural element it possesses. To me , this is the most important part because it is what makes the story. The whole concept of giving life to the dead , or creating life from nothing, is what draws people into the story of Frankenstein and The Monster. Sure, the atmosphere and actions contribute majorly to the story , but both of them are caused by the supernatural happenings in the novel. The main supernatural event in Frankenstein is when Victor Frankenstein discovers the secret of life and is able to apply this gift in the creation of a living being .

Frankenstein
Mary Shelley had an interesting way to start off Frankenstein. She began by introducing a frame story about a man named Robert Walton . Robert Walton was an explorer who set out to sail to Antartica . Along his journey he comes across a man , starved and near death , on a peice of ice . This man , referred to as the stranger , tells Walton of his adventures . The first chapter of the book opens up with the strangers story of his life from the beginning . Now , if I were to write a horror novel I would not start it the way she did . Reason being , I honestly did not find it interesting . The beginning was too slow for me . I would want to write something which excites the reader from the first page to the last page . I would probably open the book with an exciting scene of something happening , then backtracking and showing the reader how it got to that point . Then once I reached the point I started with again I would write on from there . It would seem like an interesting way to write a book .

Identity
If I was a superhero I really do not think that I would try and keep a secret identity. I would want everyone to know who I was . I would kind of be like Tony Stark . I would use my powers for good and be a hero and all , but I would also use my superhero status to have fun . Imagine everything a person could do if the world knew they had superpowers. Some people may say it is dangerous to have my identity exposed because someone might try to hurt my family to get to me, but I do not see it this way . If someone tries to hurt my family I can just use my powers to save them . It is really not a big deal . To me , there is more pros than cons in letting my identity be known .

Ability
If I had to choose between the ability of flight or the ability to turn invisible , I would choose to fly. Being able to fly would make life ten times better than it is now. The first thing I would do is travel the world. I could go ANYWHERE without having to worry about air fair or gas money. It would make traveling less stressful. I would also be able to go places no one ever has before. For example, I could just decide to fly to Egypt for lunch one day and eat on top of a great pyramid, or the Spinx. How many people could say they have done that?
My power would not just go towards my own personal wants though. If I did have this ability to fly I would want to help people. I could become a real life superhero. Who would not want that? If anyone was ever in distress I could swoop in like Superman and save the day. Of course, my costume would be a little better than his, but the point is still the same. I could change the world really. I could set an example for people everywhere. It would be wonderful.
Plus, it would be kind of sweet if Stan Lee recognized me and wrote me into a comic book . Just saying.

Advice
Since I just took the OGT's last week , I have a few words of advice for next years sophomores . Firstly , I would tell them to not stress the test at all. Most of the questions on the OGT's are common sense . This does not mean they should just blow the test off though . They should still study and appreciate what the teachers are doing for them to help them succeed . Secondly , I would tell them to learn how to pace themselves . Although most of the tests are doable in two and a half hours , there are still some which may cut that time limit close . It would be a good thing to look out for . Lastly , I would tell the up coming sophomores to thank all the teachers after the test for spending their class time making sure everyone has the knowledge they need to complete the OGTs .

Desperate Measures
¡WARNING ! What you are about to read is completely fictional. 😂😂
IThe day was July 4th, 2013 , I will never forget that date. A day usually known for celebrating the United States' freedom turned into a battle that American almost lost. I was put in a situation no human has ever been in before . The whole county depended on me.
This all began when I arrived at my cousin's house. She had wanted me to come over and stay with her for the night . I had no plans so I agreed.
Everything was fine until it started to get dark outside . We were outside on her porch watching the fireworks her neighbors were letting off when we heard this odd sound coming from the woods. At first , I did not really think anything of it . I thought it might have been a did firecracker that happened to make it's way into the trees. my cousin thought otherwise . She wanted desperately to go track down the sound , but I was not having it at first . But , she kept nagging me about it for a while , so I said I'd go with her .
When we got closer to the woods the sound got louder and more obnoxious . This was deffinately not a firework.
We started making our way up a path back to where we thought the sound was originating from. As we reached a point where we were in the back of the woods, and the sound was at it's loudest , it completely stopped . It was dead silent and the tops of the trees were so close together there was barely any light able to reach down to us .
Just as I was about to tell her we should head back , a bright light flashed on in front of us . When I tried squinting my eyes to get a clearer view I noticed that some figure was walking towards us . It was not a normal human figure . It was much bulkier and misshapen. It also looked as though it was holding something . My first instinct was to run , but it seemed like my brain was failing to send the message to my legs . I could not move . My cousin seemed the same way . As the creature moved closer I could make out more details . It was green ... It was almost alien like . Aliens . Yes, that is what it was . An alien with a weapon that seemed to be pulled right out of a Star Wars movie . My cousin and I exchanged looks , and knew almost immediately what we were going to do . We couldn't let this thing , or things (he brought friends ) , to get to our family . They did not look like they had good intentions. So , we fumbled along the ground and found some pretty decent sized tree branches and stood our ground . We were going to risk our own lives for the sake of other people . DUNDUNDUHHHHHHH.
....to never be contined .

Trust
When I really want something I can be a pretty pursuasive person. Since I was younger I have always wanted tattoos and peircings . I grew up around people adorned with body modifications , so it came to no surprise to my parents that I would begin to ask for them . My mother and father were not too enthused on signing off for me to get my tattoos or peircings for a while . They claimed I was too young and that I would regret anything I got . I was persistant though. I knew what I wanted , and I knew my mind would not change . Birthday after birthday , I would ask for a tattoo or peircing and the answer would always turn out to be a no . But then , around my fourteenth birthday my father agreed to sign off on an eyebrow peircing. After my vertical eyebrow peircing I was determined on a horizontal one , and on my fifteenth birthday I got it . Inbetween fifteen and sixteen I proved to my parents that I could handle guaging my ears and I got approved . Then , finally , on my sixteenth birthday I had worked my way up to my tattoo. Six years of hard persuading paid off .

Tenth Grade Struggles
Tenth
grade has presented me with many obstacles over the past seven
months. I really did not have a study plan coming into sophomore
year. I did not know how to sit down and study in a way that was
beneficial to me. Because of this, I found it hard to understand some
concepts in my math class. I clearly needed to study , but it seemed
like I could not retain anything. Another problem arose when I
started my second SDEV college course. It was rather fast paced and
the instructor was very confusing. I found myself becoming very
behind and it caused my stress level to increase. This was not the
only college course that caused me problems. I was also put into a
Graphic Arts class for the third time just this quarter. I am not a
very creative person , so the class does not pertain to my personal
interests at all. But, through all of this I have made some
accomplishments that I am proud of.

OGT
At first I thought the math OGT was going to be the one I would need help with , but then I realized that the writing test may be more of a struggle . I am usually pretty confident in my writing abilities, but I feel as though once it is time to take the OGT I will draw a blank and freak out . The fact that they can basically throw any writing prompt they want at you and you have no choice but to do it is scary to me. It does not help that I have barely practiced for this test. All the other OGT tests we have had plenty of practice for , which is why I feel like I can pass them quite easily . I am going to make an effort to turn around my nervousness. I plan on looking up past writing OGTs online and also looking up other people's responses to them so I can have a feel on what they are looking for in a response .
